Before deployment to Afghanistan, the Battalion will be on leave, and therefore unable to host our St David's Day celebrations at Aldershot. It has therefore been arranged for the Association to resort to 'Plan B' and celebrate at Merthyr Tydfil, a well tested venue from previous years.It is hoped that members will try to support this venue.
The service will commence at St Tydfil's Church 1200hrs, followed by a buffet lunch at the nearby newly built Rhydycar Leisure Centre. All Association members will have the opportunity to march behind the Regimental Band to Rhydycar (approximately 500 yards)where the Mayor of Merthyr Tydfil will take the salute.
There is also a newly built Travel Lodge on site with accommodation available from £29 for those who wish to stay overnight.
